impressionist landscapes in stained glass
Ask me about commissioning custom panels that we design together.
I select sheets of rolled art glass whose texture, translucence, reflectivity, and color sing to me about nature.
My imagination sees landscape lines in the glass, in sketches, or in photos.
Simple lines are cut with traditional hand-held scoring tools.
Intricate, high-risk lines are cut with a wet ring-saw.
A wet grinder can adjust the fit.
Each piece of cut glass jigsaw puzzle is foiled on the edge using thin, narrow copper tape.
The foiled pieces are soldered together then framed in copper, with copper patina applied to the solder.
The finished piece hangs from copper chain on a wall or in a window.
